Between 1975 and 1980 reggae superstar Bob Marley performed no less than five times in the Netherlands. This document presents the history of Bob Marley in the Netherlands, from the first concert in Amsterdam in 1976 to the last show in Rotterdam in 1980, and also includes interviews with people who were involved with Marley and the Dutch concerts.

The promotional tour proves to be a great success as reggae gains a definitive and steady foothold in the country of the rising sun. This document looks at this specific episode in the career of Marley as well as the general history of reggae in Japan.
